Our Students

33 middle school and high school students are currently enrolled in our after-school B2S program.

15 (45%) of the students live in a household where at least one adult is currently unemployed.

9 (27%) of the students have been retained in a grade at least once.

6 (18%) of the students have been diagnosed with a learning disability.

31 of the students are African-American and 2 are Hispanic.

In 2011, 64 middle and high school students enrolled in B2S Summer Camp.

 Of the 64 enrolled campers, 9 (14%) live in a two parent household, 36 (56%) live in a single parent household, 6 (9 %) live with a grandparent, 1 (.15%) living in foster care, and 8 (12%) listed another living situation.

The average number of people living in a camper’s household is 5.  The average income of a household in which a camper lives is $1,495/month.

30 (46%) of the campers live in a household where at least one adult is currently unemployed.

15 (23%) of the campers have at least one parent who has been involved with the Criminal Justice System.
