"If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that  the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward  your poor brother." Deuteronomy 15:7

                          Feed the Mind- Christmas 2011

Our Christmas outreach set another record breaking meal service.  422 meals were served by over 75 volunteers.  Coats, blankets and bibles were abundantly offered to the families in attendance.  A drawing for 20 complete Christmas meals was held, others were blessed with stockings filled with winter accessories and the youngest were treated to toys. What a way to celebrate the Birth of Jesus!

Feed the Mind - Thanksgiving 2011

Throughout the 2011 year, it became apparent that more and more people were struggling with their circumstances.  As a result, The Bridge of Lubbock served a record number of meals this Thanksgiving.  Not only did we serve 267 meals in one hour but we also provided 80 meals to volunteers serving families in need in Overton Park.  In total nearly 70 volunteers helped us to serve 347 meals!!  If that was not enough, we distributed 131 bags of groceries to individuals, 12 turkeys to families with small children and still others received t-shirts.

We could not have done any of it without our volunteers and donors who joined us in our effort to restore hope in the community!

Feed The Mind - Christmas 2010

Seasoned with Love and the South Plains Food Bank came together to provide an amazing Christmas meal for families in need.  Over 50 volunteers helped to make this outreach a memorable day.  From the elementary school students who served the meal, to the adults who took orders for the Christmas gifts there was something for everyone.  20 families were blessed with the ingredients for a complete Christmas meal including a turkey, 173 meals were served with each person receiving hats, gloves, blankets and coats.

We are most thankful to the Llano Estacado Chapter of the SCTE (Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers), Covenant Health System, Dillard's and Live Oak Community Church for their generosity in helping us to provide the meals, coats and blankets to our families.  We would be unable to do what we do without our volunteers from Live Oak Community Church, Victory Life Baptist, Whitewood Lanes and those who just came to serve the Lord.

Feed The Mind - Thanksgiving 2010

This year we served 153 meals compliments of Seasoned with Love and South Plains Food Bank.  We were assisted by 20 volunteers from Victory Life Baptist, Covenant Health System and others who just wanted to give back to the community during Thanksgiving week.  We are especially grateful to First Baptist Church of Lubbock and Trinity Outreach Center for their donation of care packages for our families.  We raffled off 20 bags of groceries and 60 smaller care packages.

Feed The Mind - Christmas 2009

Our Feed the Mind Lunch provided an opportunity to not only provide a wonderful Christmas meal but also to bless families in need with much needed blankets, scarves, hats, socks and other helpful items to help them manage the brutal winter that Lubbock was experiencing at the time.

We would like to thank Fox34 News and Bob Mills for helping us spread the word about our Donation Drive and collecting the donations.  The amount of donations that we received was overwhelming, once again the Lubbock community exhibited amazing generosity.

We could not have served 150 people without our volunteers from Victory Life Baptist Church, Trinity Church and so many others who took time to visit with our families.

Feed the Mind - Thanksgiving 2009

We are so thankful to Winnifer and The Trinity Outreach Center for their collaboration during our special Thanksgiving Feed the Mind Lunch.  This year were served 125 people and provided 30 familes with a basket filled with supplies to prepare their very own Thanksgiving Meal.

God Bless Jinna Norman and the Victory Life Baptist Community for volunteering their time to make this meal all the more special.  We are especially grateful for James Vint for leading the devotional.
